On May 13–14, AI WEEK took place in Milan, bringing together around 40,000 participants from across the AI ecosystem—including entrepreneurs, managers, startups, and researchers. With over 400 speakers and more than 250 exhibitors, the event offered a broad view of how AI is being applied across industries.

Among the many presentations, Visiorobotics shared a case study highlighting a practical application of AI in industrial product quality inspection.

“We showcased a real-world use of AI to detect imperfections in still-hot ladles at a foundry,” said Sofia Maurina. “By combining advanced vision systems with AI, we’re able to capture and analyze data that would be difficult—or even impossible—for a human operator to gather.”

The presentation offered a grounded look at both the capabilities and limitations of AI in complex manufacturing settings, along with the tailored solutions developed by the Visiorobotics team.
