In 2016 Acciaierie di Calvisano S.p.a led a Regional project, aiming at the improvement of the production process in the steel sector. The project saw the cooperation of R&D centers (Politecnico di Milano, University of Brescia) and Industrial leaders.
Visiorobotics system, thanks to specific patent, provides a real time incandescent 3D image of the steel billet surface, integrating advanced deep learning libraries to help the user detect anomalies, without the need of getting near the harmful incandescent steel.
We have studied a specific structure and cooling system to protect the specific hardware while being able to stay very close to the steel casting process.
